See how we take care of our customers' experience with reliability, top quality and more
We visited this restaurant and absolutely loved it. As someone who’s Indian, I can honestly say the food felt authentic, beautifully balanced, and full of flavour without being heavy. Everything tasted fresh and light, yet still rich in taste. You could tell real care went into each dish. We ordered a spread to share and enjoyed every single bite.
The staff were just as impressive as the food. They were attentive, polite, and kind. They made us feel very welcome and were lovely to speak with, which really added to the experience.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the whole evening felt relaxed and enjoyable.
We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Indian food with fantastic service.

Cilantro in Putney is Indian food at its best. This restaurant is perfect for vegetarians, offering an impressive range of options to choose from. We returned for a fourth visit this Saturday for a late lunch and were greeted by Deva, who remembered not only our names but also our previous order. The food is fresh and arrives quickly. The menu offers an interesting selection of traditional regional dishes with the flavours delicately balanced, providing the comfort of a home-cooked meal. We enjoyed the lightest Garlic Naan, the Papdi Chaat is a fresh, vibrant starter, and the Makhani Dal and Paneer Lababdar with saffron rice completed our meal. Cilantro offers outstanding value and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like coming home.

I have given 5 stars because the food my husband and I had was so tasty…and I am extremely fussy, but couldn’t fault it. The only complaint I had was that the poppodums while nicely presented were just not very nice in my opinion. The staff were very warm and friendly…in particular the waitress ‘Sowmya’.
What a breath of fresh air she was…so attentive, engaging and efficient with taking our orders to presenting our meals to clearing our plates …and all done with the biggest smile. She most definitely is an asset to Cilantro and a big reason (other than the delicious food)why I will be returning with family and friends.
Cilantro is a big thumbs up from me!
P.s I would advise you book in advance as it got very busy fast!!

My family and I enjoyed our dinner last night here. A big thank you to Rakesh and Soumya for their service. The service was friendly and attentive.
All the dishes we had were all packed with lovely authentic Indian flavours but some with a twist like the Coconut & Chilli prawn which was divine.
The lamb chops were so soft and juicy. They are one of the best in London.
The other stand out dishes for me were the butter chicken and Lal Maas. Both were excellent dishes. The Lal Mass is a dish which packs so much flavour and spice which went down well with our Malabar Paratha.
If you are looking for an Indian restaurant which is unique and full of excellent flavoured dishes then look no further.

I live in Fulham and I’ve tried pretty much every Indian around the Fulham / Putney area over the years. Cilantro has honestly become my new local.
The food is just really, really good. Not oily at all, tastes super wholesome, almost like proper homestyle cooking rather than the usual heavy takeaway stuff. You can actually feel good after eating it.
The seafood curries are on another level. The scallops in particular are an absolute dream, seriously insane, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Didn’t expect that from a local Indian but here we are.
Service is always spot on too. Always greeted with a smile, really nice people, just a good vibe every time I go in.
I’ve been loyal to the same Indian for years and this has completely replaced it. If you’re in Fulham / Putney and you care about quality Indian food, there’s honestly nothing else like this around here. Love this place.

Such a lovely friendly place with delicious freshly made food in the heart of Putney. It's easily accessible by all modes of transportation.. We ordered lots of things starting with lassi both mango and salty and a Tiger beer.. a few starters, a healthy salad, paneer and poppadoms that came with 3 types of dips.. mains were chicken tikka, prawn curry and mixed vegetable curry..we ordered 3 different types of bread to go along with them including paratha and naan..Dessert was kulfi and rasmalai.. everything was beautifully presented, fresh and delicious.. Our waiter Arun was very friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

There's politeness and there's warm kindness. Here, you find the latter. Whether you are a returning customer or a new one, you will be welcomed by a smile—we were particularly lucky, because we got Sandhiya's.
And the food is delicious: authentic, freshly made, good quality, and tasty. There are options for everyone—meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. We tried no meat, but everything we had was excellent: not a grain of rice was left at the end.
You won't regret choosing them.
(Oh, and they have these wonderful geometric sculptures on the wall. They make my top-three with Sandhiya and the food.)

The food and the service were absolutely fantastic and Cilantro is easily the best Indian restaurant we have ever been to/the best Indian food we have ever had.
The curry sauces are rich, full of flavour, perfectly seasoned and not oily. We had the Prawn Curry and the Butter Chicken Curry. The prawns and the chicken were cooked to perfection, and the portions were very generous. The naans are fluffy and the Heritage tomato salad was the perfect side dish to add some freshness to the meal.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The portions are generous, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. We will be back!!!

I recently visited Cilantro and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and flavorful, and the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. The staff was professional and attentive. I especially liked the variety of Indian-inspired dishes and the fact that the dishes were healthy and made with quality ingredients. I would highly recommend Cilantro to anyone looking for a delicious and healthier Indian dining experience.
To Rakesh, the restaurant manager, I just wanted to let you know that you have created an incredible restaurant and I appreciate all the hard work you have put in to make it a success. Keep up the great work!

For anyone looking for an authentic Indian meal- this place is a must. Everything we had here was delicious and tasted legitimate. One of the best butter chicken I have had in London and their rasamalai was drool worthy. Healthy options, extensive menu selection for vegetarian dishes- this place ticks most of the boxes, if not all. The way their dum Briyani is served along with the raita in a mortar looks so appetizing. Warm staff and their cozy private dining space made it more special. They have a changing menu and a bottomless deal which is good value for money. Definitely coming back and also highly recommend.

A serious (and Indian) foodie here! This is hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in my 6 years in London. The menu covers a range of regional cuisines, and every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavour. The papdi chaat was perfectly tangy and crisp, the uthappam and Chettinad chicken had all the right South Indian notes, and the Awadhi biryani and laal maas were rich with northern spices. Humble staff and peppy Indian music in the background made the experience all the more authentic.
Exceptional quality at incredibly reasonable price — I’ll definitely be back!

Very nice authentic somewhat upscale Indian restaurant replacing the much loved local MaGoa. Food very good and I actually felt better than it's predecessor. I'm told the chefs have previously worked at Michelin restaurants. Given the current trends, I would suggest and request more vegan options please. Currently only two main curries are suitable for vegans and it's extremely surprising the breads are not modifiable to suit vegan diet. I think if you expand and concentrate on this, you will thrive. I will be returning with the hope that more options for vegans are incorporated.

Phenomenal experience. Top notch food and atmosphere. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant.
Delicious high quality plates, selection of wines and great service.
We tried all their entrees, one of their desserts Panna- cotta was delicious highly recommended. Also I tried one of the main course Methi-murg-Briyani and starter cocont-chilli-prawn was very tasty.
It’s definitely not like other expensive restaurants and you only get a small amount of food. I am definitely going back.

A little gem - I had lunch with my bridesmaids here recently. Food was absolutely outstanding, my friends are not local and said they would be coming back for the food alone! Ambience was lovely, we did ask for the music to be turned down inside but were seated on the terrace which was covered and enclosed, beautiful flower decor and felt really appropriate for the occasion. We did have a blip in that no one was open at the time of our booking (12.30) however a staff member shortly arrived and was very apologetic. We were very happy with the place so soon got over that.

Authentic is right...... absolutely delicious, super fresh and tasty. This is Indian food at it's best. We ate there for the first time today for a late lunch - Udesh looked after us with great care - the food was freshly cooked and wonderful. As vegetarians we had plenty of choice - my favourite Dal Makhani was on the menu and had it with garlic naan, saffron rice and paneer Labadaar - plus a cold starter of Papdi Chaat - the most delicious flavours and textures. We will certainly be back. Thank you Udesh

We had take away which is why I didn't comment on the atmosphere but it was valentines and the owner of the business himself delivered our meal due to the driver strike. The curry was DELICIOUS. There are lots of curry places around Putney that we've tried and we like a few places but this really does top them all in terms of flavour, consistency and out right hit-the-spot deliciousness. It is a bit pricier than other places but I'd expect that for this quality! Thank you so much. Will definitely order again!

First time visiting this restaurant which is new to Putney. Lovely staff, Ram was our waiter and he was very attentive and helpful answering all our questions. It was my mother's birthday and they brought her a surprise cake which was lovely! All four of us were impressed with the dishes. We tried a mixture of chicken, lamb and vegetables dishes all delicious and the tarkha dahl packed a punch! The garlic and truffle naan were particularly great and worth trying!! Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back.

Cilantro, Healthy Indian restaurant at Putney:
Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious and well presented.
We had Coconut & Chilli Prawn, lamp Chops as a starter and main course is Kazhi Vartha curry, Lamb Pepper fry and Malabar Paratta, all the dishes is a yummy.
Finally, we had the complimentary Dip Soup " Moringa Wellness" is absolutely refreshing.
Richly recommend it and will definitely come back again

Nice quaint ambience for a date with mellow lighting and well designed interiors. The music was decent too. But the star of the show was the food. Quality food, well presented and bursting with flavour. We visited for the bottomless brunch on a Sunday, the food was filling and just the right portions. Our favourites were the namkeen salad and the butter chicken. They have an excellent array of cocktails which went well with the food. We will certainly visit again.

I ordered through Uber Eats yesterday and they delivered to the wrong address and refused to give me a refund as the driver called me and I couldn't answer at the time. I felt so upset that I drove to collect my order today all the way from Kew. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff lovely and I even got 10% discount. If you need something well done... well ,you might have to do it yourself - unless it's cooking this amazingly delicious food - I leave it in their expert hands!
~ Lurdes H
Oh my word!! The food is so good! The Bengal fish curry was superb. Generous amount of prawns, scallop and white fish. More fitting in a Michelin star restaurant than a neighbourhood place in Putney… The lamb biryani looked great and apparently full of tender lamb (large portion) but they offer to pack left overs to go! Poppadoms and starters wonderful also. Great service! Reasonably priced, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Recently had a chance to taste Butter Chicken, Kerela Chicken, Butter paneer masala and Paneer Tikka at a friend's place ordered from this newly opened restaurant. If I may take the liberty of judging the dishes there is only one word that is...OUTSTANDING. Never have I tasted such a perfect cooking skill in all the preparations that I chanced upon. This place will surely be my regular jaunt from now on.....Keep it up guys...

We had such a warm welcome when we arrived! The restaurant was spotless, well-lit, and had lots of seating options. The menu had so many tempting dishes that we’re definitely coming back to try more. The food was absolutely tasty, and the portions were just perfect—not too much, not too little. Prices were very reasonable too. The staff was super friendly and served us with a smile the whole time. Can’t wait to visit again!

Finally, good Indian fayre in Putney that is much better than all the others. With a smallish menu, always a good sign, as an Indian I can honestly say the food was excellent. The Rajasthanai Lal Maas was delicious as was the Kozhi Varutha Curry. Have never heard of this dish but I can recommend it.
The atmosphere was a tad sterile but the food more than made up for it. Will definitely go back and try the other dishes and highly recommend it.
